Mwanza, Tanzania

Our Orphan and Women’s Programs in Mwanza, Tanzania on the southern shore of Lake Victoria in East Africa, works hand in hand with local leaders to direct donated funds which provide supplies and location for a school to educate and tutor orphaned children financially  unable to attend public school, as well as provide extra help to those who can.  We direct financial scholarships which allow additional orphans to attend public schools.  Our  vocational sewing school is available for orphans and  adults, and the HHF Women’s Business Program which mentors women for success.  Through donated funds we provide supplies and educate the local community in the use of  E-C Kit for field microbiology testing for water safety, solar water pasteurization, and solar cooker construction and use to enhance both respiratory health and decrease the use of natural resources as fuel.  Our International Healthcare Volunteers Team visits this community annually to providing portable on-site  dental, medical and vision clinics free of charge and network with local healthcare and community leaders.

Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania

Health & Hope Foundation coordinates with local leadership as one of the few NGO’s invited to “live local” and  stay within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area while providing dental, vision and medical care to the pastoral Maasai communities.  Our volunteer team makes home visits and is involved in enhancing community health and hygiene though construction of Tippy Tap hand wash stations, water safety testing with the EC-Kit, and delivery of washable feminine hygiene kits to village women with sexual safely education.   Our healthcare volunteers  coordinate with local leaders and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center to provide patients in need of specialized care, such as cataract surgeries.
