Health & Hope International Health Care Teams

Health & Hope welcomes healthcare volunteers from all arenas.  Our clinics are staffed by health care volunteers (dental, medical, ophthalmic, nurse, midwife, therapists, paramedics), are portable, and usually in rural environments.

All services are needed in the areas we serve, so each trip is tailored to make the best use of the talent and treatment interests of our health care professional team.  While it may be daunting not to have some of your whistles and bells, please remember how much you can offer with your head, hands, and heart to provide good basic health care.

Clinic volunteers are needed and welcomed from all walks of life and ages.  There are many vital support roles in health care delivery; little prior experience is needed — we can teach you.  Support roles may include clinic organization, assisting doctors, equipment sterilization, helping in our pharmacy, equipment repairs, providing tooth brush or home care instructions, visiting with our patient guests, playing with children, as well as water safety and hand washing education.  We are all about education and learning new things.

Health & Hope clinic teams  include local language translators, and often include in-country health care providers who offer local knowledge and help foster on-going mutual professional education.

Health & Hope Foundation lives, works, and plays local, with our local friends.  You are assured a cultural immersion and experience of  a lifetime.

Health & Hope Foundation, a 501c3 organization, allows your tax deductible volunteer expenses.
